Trip to Kumrat Valley
kumrat Valley travel guide
I recently visit to Kumrat from Kalam in Swat Valley, though for a far shorter time than planned. i must suggest to go here’s a guide on traveling to Kumrat Valley. The guide includes information on how to get to Kumrat Valley and where to stay in Kumrat Valley.
Murree Weather:
A little bit about Kumrat Valley Tour and Kumrat Weather
Kumrat Valley is situated in the Upper Dir area of KPK. The nearest town to the valley is Thall. Thall is around 45 km from Kumrat Valley and is used as the starting point for outings to Kumrat Valley. Thall is maybe one of the most moderate spots in Pakistan, so try to act suitably when you visit.
The Panjkora waterway (kumrat valley waterfall), which starts in the Hindu Kush mountains, goes through Kumrat Valley, and the valley is incredibly rich and green.
Kumrat Valley Tour
Kumrat Valley is generally known for its wonderful deodar woodland. The huge deodars give Kumrat a fantasy like atmosphere. Sadly, huge numbers of the enormous deodar trees in Kumrat Valley and the surrounding areas are quickly disappearing, as their wood is used for warmth and cooking by locals.

Kumrat Valley Village Thall.
The village at the entrance point to Kumrat Valley is named Thall. It's a little village with extremely fundamental amenities. To reach Thall from Kalam in Swat Valley, you should initially go to Utrar, a village around one hour from Kalam. You can take a common taxi from Kalam's primary bazaar to Utrar. They leave when full. I expected to leave early, and our taxi left around 7:30 in the first part of the day.
The common taxi costs 250 - 400 Rs for every individual, depending on how many people they manage to squeeze in the car. From Utrar bazaar, mutual Jeeps to Thall leave when full (10 travelers), and cost 600 – 800 Rs for each individual.
If there is limited demand, the driver will inquire as to whether you need to go in any case, yet you'll need to follow through on a greater expense. The driver charged 1,000 Rs every one of three individuals. The driver from Utrar to Thall is uneven yet ravishing. You'll cross a 3,000m+ mountain pass isolating Swat Valley from Upper Dir region before slipping into forested mountains and slopes.
The drive takes approximately four hours, and on the off chance that you make the drive during the movement season, there will be a couple of little shops and shoddy tea houses en route.

Where to stay in Thall
When you arrive in Thall, it's ideal to remain there for the day to arrange forward movement and supplies. However, it’s possible, it's to make it into Kumrat Valley around the same time. There is only one official hotel, Hotel Green Hills, of the main road running through Thall Bazaar.
How to get from Thall to Kumrat
Get from Thall to Kumrat, you have to need to hire a Jeep with a driver. Plan for an bumpy ride. Depending on how far into the valley you need to be brought, a Jeep should cost 3000 – 5000 Rs.
It will be more if you want the driver to pick you up a few days later.. It will take an hour or two to pass through the restricted valley to where the mountains open wide once more. You'll pass a military checkpoint along the way. Make sure to bargain, and be clear as to where you want to be dropped off and picked up.
Where to remain in Kumrat Valley
There are plentiful tent camps in Kumrat during season, and by and large, offer comparable offices at comparative rates. At the point when I visited in late September (the off season), the tent camps were all the while standing. Not every one of them were manned, though. However, a bunch of local boys were charged 900 Rs for their tent. Bargaining hard. Basic food are available at the tent camps, and there are small convenience stores every once in a while. Options are limited (and costly, of course), so bring your own food and snacks if you can.
Getting from Thall to Dir and Chitral
If you want to head out towards Dir from Kumrat—ideal if Chitral and the Kalash Valleys are next on your schedule—shared taxis leave for Dir from the main Thall bazaar, near where the side road for Kumrat is. The ride should take 6 to 8 hours depending on the driver, and seats are around 400 Rs for every individual.
